Chhattisgarh Government announces education aid for Students
The Government of Chhattisgarh has decided to give education aid to students who lost their parents owing it to covid-19. The decision to bear the education expenses of students in the state was taken on Thursday, May 13 by the Chhattisgarh government. The Chhattisgarh government has decided to launch the education scholarship under the name of Chhattisgarh Mahtari Dulara Yojana. Under the scheme, the Chhattisgarh government stipend of rupees 500 per month will be paid to students from classes 1 to 8  and rupees 1000 per month for classes 9th to 12th. Also, the scheme is entitled to both Government and private schools in the Chhattisgarh state. According to the official statement by the Chhattisgarh government, the state government has decided to launch Chhattisgarh Mahtari Dulara Yojana for children who are orphaned due to covid-19. children studying in both Government and private schools will be entitled to this type and the government will also fund education for children who have lost breadwinner of the family due to covid-19. Such students will get a Priority in admission to the state-run Swami atmanand English medium schools, the official statement further adds. Earlier this week Jammu Kashmir Government and Madhya Pradesh Government also decided to help those students who lost their parents due to covid in their state by providing scholarships for education.
